About us

About UsGareth has over 30 years of experience in the Facilities Management (FM) sector working for public and private companies. His FM career started in 1979 when he joined the BBC as a member of the ‘help desk’ team. From here promotions and attachments to various roles in Radio, Television and World Service provided Gareth with an excellent grounding in a wide range of facilities and project management roles in a broadcast environment. These roles included running a busy post room, being a studio supervisor  for radio and television broadcasts, setting up the office services department and various FM roles in radio, television and world service buildings including Bush House and Television Centre in Wood Lane.

By 1992 Gareth had been promoted to Principal Portfolio Manager responsible for working with the three Regional BBC Controllers and their Resource teams in Ireland, Wales and Scotland developing master plans and capital expenditure programmes for the BBC estate in these regions.

Having spent 23 years with BBC Property Gareth joined Land Securities Trillium (LST) and initially worked in Scotland heading up the FM operation as General Manager on the BBC contract. In 2004 Gareth was part of the LST team who were selected to work with the Department for Transport in Swansea to modernise their portfolio and to take over the running of their FM services. This opportunity allowed Gareth to mobilise a brand new contract and build an FM team with a number of Service Partners to meet the requirements of this new contract.

In 2009 Gareth joined Monteray Limited as a Regional Services Director responsible for the South West Region and FM services for BT in this area. In January 2010 Gareth took over responsibility for a national project management team responsible for delivering capital and life cycle projects for BT.

Away from work Gareth enjoys playing golf and cricket and is a keen walker. In February 2011 Gareth trekked up Mount Kilimanjaro which has proved to be one of his life’s most challenging and humbling experiences.
